Oregon's statewide rent stabilization law (SB 608) protects tenants across the state with rent increase caps and eviction protections.

Oregon SB 608 at a Glance

  • Rent Cap: lesser of 10% or 7% + CPI annually (9.5% for 2026); manufactured/floating-home facilities with more than 30 spaces capped at 6% for 2026 (HB 3054), smaller facilities follow the standard cap
  • Coverage: Most rentals built more than 15 years ago (before ~2011 in 2026)
  • Just Cause: Required after 12 months of tenancy
  • Relocation: One month's rent for no-fault evictions
  • Notice: 90 days required for rent increases
